LET’S BE BETTER – SEMINAR TRAILER

Let’s be even better in the upcoming year!

The end of the year is a perfect time to reflect and dream. And what a year it has been!

Finlands Svenska Idrott and The National Council of Women of Finland organized a hybridseminar “Let’s be better: Changing the culture of sport in September 2023 resulting in following:

• Over 200 participants from more than 15 countries
• Several experienced speakers, researchers, athletes, leaders and sport enthusiasts giving their views on how to make sports more inclusive.
• Touching hot topics in sports like leadership, diversity and gender in sport with new perspectives and present the familiar themes in a different setting.

Thank you all for your positive, encouraging and constructive feedback! One of the feedback was “Various speakers from very different points of view. Especially the panel and presentation about transgender people in sports opened my eyes!”. Also in many feedbacks requested to organize the next event. To your delight, a seminar is coming next year, the 3rd of December at Hanasaari and online, with topics like diversity, equality and integration in sports – Save the date and more information will come on Finlands Svenska Idrott’s social media. 

To do concrete actions for equality, inclusion and diversity in sports, we encourage you to take a look at our materials that will soon be available in three different languages: Swedish, Finnish and English. The new language versions will be published in january 2024.

The work is not yet done. Let’s embrace the upcoming year with a solid promise to “be even better” next year. This is our promise to you: Let’s do it and make the world of sports a better place for us all.
